My mission, so far, has been the most amazing experience of my life. The mission field is really unlike anything else. It’s is such a great opportunity to learn what the Lord wants you to learn. I feel like I’m not the one doing most of the teaching, I’m more of the student. The Lord has taught me a lot through the scriptures, through the examples of others, and especially through experiences of both trials and successes. I’m now in my third area with my seventh companion and have gotten used to things changing around all of the time.
I really do love it here already and I know that this is where the Lord wants me to be right now. I feel it more and more every day. Praying in Tagalog has been really powerful for me. I love being a missionary!! I know that the Lord will help me to accomplish his work. Alam ko po na sa pamamagitan ng pagbabayad-sala ni Jesucristo, Tayo can buhay sa namin mga pamilya walang-hanggang.” (I know that through the Atonement of Jesus Christ, we can be with our families eternally). I know that this Gospel really does bless families! This truly is the lord’s work. We are being prepared to teach the Gospel just as the people of the Philippines are prepared to be taught. When I testify of the Gospel of Jesus Christ I can really feel how important it has been in my life. I know that our Father in Heaven loves us. I know that he gave his Son for us, all of us.
